How do I cook my pies?

Defrost fully before cooking.

To re-heat your pie, place on a baking tray in a pre-heated oven for approximately 25 minutes at

180°C/160°C Fan/Gas mark 4.

The foil dish can be removed either before or after the pie has been baked, whichever you find easiest.

The pies can be microwaved, removing foil dish first, but the pastry will not be crisp or as delicious!

It is far better to re-heat in the oven.

You can re-heat from frozen, place on a baking tray in a pre-heated oven for approximately 45minutes at

180°C/160°C Fan/Gas mark 4.

My pie has defrosted what should I do?

Make sure your pie has fully defrosted, then consume within 3 days.

How should I store my pies?

Your pies will arrive ready cooked and chilled and can be either eaten, reheated or popped in the freezer. They have a fridge shelf life of 3 days and can be frozen for up to 6 months.

Leave to defrost overnight in the fridge and then cook as stated above in the ‘How do I cook my pies' section.

Do not re-freeze after defrosting.

Do you make Gluten Free pies?

Currently, we don't make gluten free pies as they have to be batch tested.  As a micro company, this isn't feasible right now. However, if we become bigger, this is something we might look at again in the future.

Info on Packaging.

Pies: The pies are cooked in a tinfoil tray which can be washed and re-used. They are wrapped in grease proof paper with a label, which can be recycled. The pie box is made of heavy duty card which can be re-cycled along with the wood wool packaging. Ice packs are used to keep the pies below 5 degrees Celsius.
